Professionally done because I don't normally wear makeup

I'm having mine done professionally, because I'm kind of a makeup dummy... I think $50-$75 sounds completely normal to me, my whole bridal/makeup combo will be at least $250!

So ladies, how is everything coming? I feel that we've kind of stalled out. I blame the holidays and the post Christmas budget issues we run into every year. Hopefully we'll get back on track soon.

The Olympics got in my way so I rushed to get caught up with my invitations... still waiting for my friend to design the inside part and then I just have to print everything and glue them on. Hope I can send them next week or the week after.

The Olympics have stalled me a bit too...I'm trying to get my invites together so that I can mail them in March sometime. Also trying to get my church ceremony stuff figured out, which is turning into a pain in the you-know-what.

Everything else feels like it's sort of on standby...I dunno...I still need shoes and accessories, I guess I should start looking!!

Our church ceremony is done... now we have to rush and write website text cuz my friend needs to design it this weekend... also, my other friends want us to send him pics for the guestbook... AAHH... we sorted out some pics but we haven't chosen yet ARGH! And it sucks cuz I'm not home all the time to talk to him about it... last time I was home to talk to him about wedding stuff he was really sick :S This is so frustrating.

Looks like we're all pretty much working on the same thing I finally met up with my stationary/invitation peeps and have started the designing process. I have to get back to them with some details soon.

Otherwise, I recently got most of my accessories. I have my heels for the ceremony, my flats for dancing, my purse, purses for my girls (part of their gift), my necklace and my fascinator. I'm still debating about the whole veil thing, and I think I'll probably just borrow a pair of earrings from my Mum. Are any of you doing the whole "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue"?

My something old is my grandmother's kerchief from her wedding, my something new is most of my outfit, something borrowed will probably be the earrings, though may also potentially be my BM's crinoline from her wedding, and something blue is my garter and potentially my underthings. We'll see

Next up for me is renting dinnerware for the venue (they have stuff available, but it is god awful) and working on the registry.

Sounds like we're truckin' along pretty good!! Keep at it ladies! I'm feeling a bit burnt out these days, and stressed...stupid little details are getting to me, like minor things on the invites - stuff that barely matters! I'm trying to shrug off the unnecessary worrying.

I think I will do the something old/new/borrowed/blue, but I don't have the "old" yet. There isn't really anything passed down by my family I'd want to wear on my wedding day...LOL! I have my grandma's blue garter from her wedding, which is amazing but it is too small for me - cuts off the circulation in my thigh Unless I can somehow lose several inches off my thighs and hips in the next 4 months, I don't know what to do with it.

Old is the pics of my grandparents and dad on my bouquet charms
Borrowed is (hopefully) my aunt's earrings
Blue is my Canucks garter

I still have to set up our gift registry too. The Olympics is slowing me down quite a bit but it's almost over we have our menu tasting next week too. It's great cuz it times out with our 7 year anniversary yay to free dinner!
